take your fly wheel cover off find a socket to fit it and slowly turn to top dead center on compression stroke to find valve clearance

replace carrier bearings they are sealed bearings no need for a grease zirk would not keep bearings lubed.check swingarm bearing play. if worn, best to replace while repairing carrier,to save on labor repitition.turn wheels around & check for interference w/ brake caliper.wheel spacers are commercially available for this model. check ebay.

Forgive me for saying, but if you are having problems with your chain on the XV1600 Wildstar, then you have a BIG problem...
