No but check with the dealer or your service/owner manual for the manufacturer recommended gearbox oil change periods.
There is no filter on the manual gearbox .
Whatever the manufacturer recommended period is for a gearbox oil change, change the gearbox oil twice as frequently as recommended to maintain it in good condition. If, for example, a change every 50000 miles is stipulated then do it every 25000 or so.
most manufacturers recommend a timing belt change at 100.00 klms as this is the optimum period that the belt manufactures warrant their product for
there are factors that will reduce this period such as continued high rpms, dusty conditions, idler bearing failure and oil leaks
Oil is the biggest destroyer of rubber timing belts and it comes from cam shaft seals , hydraulic belt tensioner leaks and crank shaft seals
basically if you keep an eye on the cover and look for oil and dust marks then any time after 90.000 klms would be an ideal time to consider the belt change
It depends on the length of time that the vehicle has been not running. The fuel filter I would give a miss. Transmission oil can become contaminated with moisture and if not used for a period of time tends to promote rust in the exposed parts in the transmission. The coolant should be changed every 2 years or checked for % in the water. Generally I would say that if the garage period was less than 3 months then all I would be doing would be charging the battery . If over 12months off the road the a test of the coolant for % and an oil change of the transmission would be about as far as I would go. Remember that the engine oil should be changed every 6 months if run in that period of time to remove water moisture in the oil from the combustion process
You can and should periodically change or have changed the transmission, primary and engine oils and engine oil filter. because over time and use all of these oils break down and become contaminated etc.
Absolutely not. Most modern cars have an extended oil change interval. Usually 7500 miles.. Some of them calculate the interval. Now.. If the price is right. I would't worry too much about this. but in the future change the oil according to the manual.
If you need to ask this question you should consult the service department at a toyota dealership..... but i will save you the time and them the agony.... maximum i would change any oil in any vehicle is 5000 miles (8000kilometers) but as i say it never hurts to do it early. oil cahnges are cheap in comparision to replacement engines. break-in period of a toyota engine is closer to 20,000miles (32,00kilometers) in that time i would recommend replacing the oil at 100miles, 500miles, 1000miles, 2500miles and 5000miles on the odometer (not between changes).. break-in period is the most critical in an engines life. after that, regular oil changes make the difference between 150,000miles and 500,000 miles. I got a '97 rav with 282,000miles and it still runs llike a champ. treat it good and it will run forever... FOREVER TOYOTA....
there is no factory-designed period for this...the fluid is expected to last life of vehicle (120,000 mile is longest interval) . you can change it any time you want to.
