SOURCE: vin location

It should be located on the right hand side of the down tube. Turn the handle bars to the left and look on the right side of the down tube. If it is not there or has been filed off most likely it is hot.

SOURCE: chassis vin number

Look on the front fork behind headlight. Turn handlebars one way and you should be able to read it without removing anything.

Location of all vin numbers on bike and engine. ?

The vin number commonly known as the frame or chassis number can be found on the front tube of the frame, headstock to the righthand siide at this point the steering yoke is affixed, if this is a uk bike the vin plate should be on the righthand of the frame also, close to your. Right knee when you sit on the bike, but the number on this plate is the same as the one found on the frame, the engine number is located also on the right hand side ontop of the crackcase just above the clutch cover, all of this information can be found on the log book, or registration doc if you have one hope this helps

I'm planning on purchasing a 2005 kawasaki ninja zx600 BUT the owner said the vin number is gone. Is there more than one vin number on these bikes and if so what are they're locations on the bike?

there is only 1 vin on the bike, if your planning on registering it your gonna need it. The only other way would be to locate the frame number and have a kawi dealer cross reference for a vin, but being 6 years old, might not be able to. cant the owner just get it off his registration for you ? aslo, becarefull of receiving stolen property, sounds like an issue to me.

CANT TELL MY YEAR ON A HUSQVARNA 125 DIRTBIKE. HOW DO I GET IT OUT OF THE SERIAL #?

Just by looking at the vin number won't tell you the year of your bike. You need to write the vin number down and get on the phone with a dealer that operates your type of motorcycle manufacture. Tell them the vin number and then they can tell you what year it is.

EXCEPT If it isn't older than a 1983 you can use this method on all 17 digit vin numbers cars, bikes, atv's etc. code follows,count to the tenth digit,D IS 1983 E 84. F 85. G 86.H 87.J 88.K 89.L 90.M 91. N 92.P 93.R 94. S 95.T 96.V 97. W 98.X 99.Y 2000. 1 01. 2 02.3 03. 4 04. 5 05. 6 06.7 07. You sholdn't have any problem understanding this.

I need to find engine number and vin number for regista=ration and i have no papers

Hello,

The VIN number will be on the upper front end of the bike and it's 17 characters long. Once you have that number, click this link - VIN - and enter your VIN number information. It will give you all the details of your bike.

The engine number would be located directly on the engine. Most are toward the back of the engine, behind the head cylinders, on a flat part of the engine. You will, most likely, have to remove a few side pieces to find this number.

Hope this helps. If you find this information useful, please vote on this post. Thank you.

Require year of manufacture of two bikes... honda eng No C70E-11685 chassis No C70-C013741. Honda eng No C90E-3127157 chassis No C90-S127149 Appreciate any help...

Hello,

The chassis number(s) will not give the year of the bikes. The engine number(s) will give the year and location made of the engine only. This information would have to be obtained from the manufacturer.

The only way to determine the year of the bike(s) is to use the VIN number. The VIN number is 17 characters long and is usually located on the front of the frame.

This site, VIN Look-up, will give you all the information you need on your bikes.

Hope this helps and if you find this post useful, please vote. Thank You.

The full VIN number on your bike is stamped on the side of the steering head of the frame. The number on the engine is an abbreviated number but the two numbers should match.
