Clutch plates need replacing , I would replace the steels as well and also change the oil and filter as it will be polluted with clutch dust.
Would also help to flush clutch fluid as well.

SOURCE: 3rd gear clutch slip

is this pensol15/40 a motorcycle oil ,do not use auto motor oil in your bic it contains a friction modifier which will coat the clutch plates and cause them to slip and then glaze. the clutch plates will have to be removed and cleaned with brake cleaner and lighty sanded to remove the glaze. jim

SOURCE: bought a used 88 cr250 and like and idiot i didnt

sounds like you need a clutch. Yes the friction plates should move a bit when you pull your clutch lever in that is how the clutch works what oil are you running in you tranny and have you tried adjusting the clutch cable? When you had your clutch apart what did the friction plates look like was there much meat left on them?

SOURCE: I have a 1989 KX250 that sometimes hangs in gear.

If the clutch lever is properly adjusted, this is normally what happens if the gearbox oil is extremely dirty. Do and oil change then ride for 30 minutes. Then change the oil again to help flush out the dirt. If that doesn't help, then the clutch pressure plates are warped or the cork on the fiber friction plates is swollen from using synthetic lubricants in the gearbox. Check the plates and replace as needed.

I don't think your clutch is bad, if it doesn't slip when hot. I would be blaming the pull on the lever not enough, or the gears are worn in the tranny. You can adjust the lever and you can try bleeding off the clutch, The engine oil usually cools the clutch, I'm not sure where your filter is, mine is underneath like a car. My tranny clunks and grinds when revving too much, have to wait for the revs to go down before shifting into first. It used to slip on hot days. Hasn't done it but a couple times. I never took out the clutch basket, but it seems fairly easy. If the oil change doesn't do it, and the bleeding of the slave, I would have to dig deeper into complaints about your bike, before I blame the clutch. You might not have to touch it, but you might be looking at something else. Check it out.

Honda 1999 crv replaced clutch flywheel slave cylinder and master clutch slips when car is warmed up runs fine when it's cold

stick shifts are my love. for over 50 years,
ok if the slave cycl released 100% does it? ( look and see it fully retracted)
the clutch is bad if it slips. (linkage /slave good)
no matter what car it is.
that is right warm clutches slip more hot.
a physics thing. (disk surfaces)
here is what can be bad. (all)
bad throw out bearing actual or it sticks from worn out pinon surfaces.
bad PP bad pressure plate, spring weak.
bad DISK , worn thin it hits brass rivets and SLIPS
oil on disk from bad seal front end of tranny
front of tranny pinion shaft a wreck, galled and rusted. and makes the throwout bearing stick and not release.
(all the above is moot, if slave is ok, and master cyc.
moot in the the transmission is now pulled and all above is discovered. and in truth all is just changed out 3 part klt.
done many even 4wd a 10 hour job on those.
first one done was 1964. by me and before that motorcycles and after too.
hint #2 (other) on manual linkage , no slave
the clutch free play must be kept to spec or 1/2" or clutch will slip ignored say for years.

Clutch Slipping on Vulcan 1500

Before you tear your engine apart and start changing plates and putting in heavy duty springs, try this simple little fix that worked for me.
Open the Clutch master cylinder and look in the bottom and you will see (2) holes. One of the holes will look like it has a tiny ball valve in it. Take a small stiff piece of wire (bread tie with plastic removed) and stick it in this ball valve to clear any debris. What happens is that the fluid cannot return from the clutch to the cylinder and keeps some pressure in the line thus the slipping clutch. If that valve is clogged, you can put as many new clutches or heavy duty springs as you want and the clutch will still slip. Take it from someone who just changed all the parts then still had to flush the hydraulic cylinder, clean that hole out, add new DOT 4 fluid, bleed clutch and now it works GREAT!

Clutch feels fine on lever, was ok before i changed front sproket, have bled, but can not push bike when its in gear and lever pulled in,fzr1000 exup 89.

When you put the sprocket cover back on, you've not engaged the clutch push rod correctly in the clutch slave cylinder. As the cover was tightened down it's pushed the slave cylinder piston too far back.
Remove the slave cylinder only (3 x 8mm head bolts) and check it operates properly, then ensure the push rod is correctly seated in the depression in the centre of the slave cylinder plate when you bolt it back up. FJ1200's have the same clutch and I had the same problem with my FJ...

Your clutch plates have lasted 25 years. It is probably time to get some new plates. Have your dealer get you a set of Barnett clutch plates.

Clutch slip

You may have a leaking slave cylinder - it has leaked brake fluid on the clutch plates.
Certainly at 14K that would be the only thing I can think of - normally the clutch is good for 60K Miles or more.

89 ranger manual trans slipping already replace clutch and slave cylinder? still slipping any help?

Manual transmissions do not slip ie. when the gears mesh, there is no slip unless they strip out and make an awful noise and will not pull henceforth.

You probably still have a slipping clutch plate against the flywheel. You need to adjust the clutch petal linkage shaft to allow the pressure plate to be release from the thrust bearing, ie shorten the shaft length.. If you and most likely you do just have the clutch release slave cylinder that releases the clutch when you apply the petal. You need to bleed the slave cylinder of any excess fluid or air that may have entered the line if you opened it at any point. You need to bleed it as you would a break cylinder and this should fix ya.
good luck.
