Tune-up of xjr400r?

You can do it..... Look up in the Owners manual what you need to do on certain km/miles since last tune-up. Normally, would be adjust plugs gap, clean air filter, change oil+filter, oiling certain moving paart including chain greasing. Btw, go to Google and download a Owner/Repair manual for the bike.

Unfortunately there is no XJR manual in English. There is one on the XJR owners club to download but its in Japanese.

Clearance for inlet and exhaust valve adjustment

Hi there,

Not sure about clearance levels, but can tell you there is no English manual for the XJR 400 - only Japanese. Try the XJR owners club. It's full of troubleshooting questions answered in the forums.
