SOURCE: 2002 kawasaki ninja 250 motor on ATV need wiring help

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my knowledge, there would only be 3 wires needed from the handlebars that affects the engine:

  • engine RUN/OFF;
  • clutch ENGAGED;
  • engine START.
The first 2 would go to the interlock plus the neutral wire and the sidestand wire. The interlock then sends signals that starter motor can turn and that CDI can fire.

As to the ignition coil, 1 wire is IGN B+12 while the other would go to the CDI and should pulsate when cranking or engine running.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Wires are disconnected on my Kawasaki GPZ 500, I

Wires are color coded > red to red, blue to blue, etc.. As to where to connect each wire, just go to the dealer and ask to see a wireing diagram. Unless he is a **** he will be glad to help. Other options include the library for a service manual, purchase a service manual, Google 'Kawasaki GPZ 500 wireing', and finding another GPZ500 and looking at it's wireing.

SOURCE: do not know where to connect hour meter wire to the spark plug

One wire is the flexible silicone rubber wire from the spark plug to the ignition coil. You don't have to strip or connect the other wire, just wrap it around the spark plug wire a few turns.The current from the spark ignition will induce a signal into the hour meter that the meter uses to determine when the motor is on or off. I hope this helps and good luck.1b05a64.jpg

Try this manual, it should cover all your needs. Are you sure you have the correct rating fuse in the box, the manual will solve the problem any way. Good luck:

Hi, Anonymous if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your headlight bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chafed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi-low beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.

8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil

2002 zx12r battery keeps goin down, replaced stator regulator and battery ran for about a month and same thing happened again. what could be the problem?

If you have replaced the stator, regulator/rectifier, and the battery I would suggest running continuity test on the wiring that is in the harness to check for breaks or bad connectors.

I charged the battery on my kawasaki zx12r & now it wont start! anybody have a clue why? it does not turn no noise when I push the start button, lights, horn everything else comes on. I am stationed in...

could be the starter solenod. you can find it by following the positive cable from the battery to the solenoid. try bridging the two posts with a pair of needle nose pliers. if it starts you now know your solenoid is bad. if it doesn't, could be your starter. check all wires clean and connected.

1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Problem just started. No operation in the instrument cluster. They went out Wednesday.They came back on while driving. Today when starting, they went out again.

Remove your guage cluster unplug the wire connecter , in the guage cluster are some pins they should not be loose.. if it is you need to drop a dot of sulder on the pin connector careful not to let saulder touch other pins good luck CJ PS EASY FIX I did a bunch of these voyager.

Where is the live feed from ignition on Kawasaki zx12r 2006?

Get the power for you heated grips directly from the ignition switch. Use a test light to determine which wire to use. You're looking for a "switched" wire, one that goes on and off with the switch.
