2004 triumph Daytona 600.... will not start all it does when you push the start button is click. Have checked all 4 relays under seat and all grounds. Battery shows 12.2 volts and 166 cranking amps. Please...

If you check that is not an electric problem, and is not the batery, the problem should be from the starting motor. Try to start the bike by selecting the 2nd gear and pull, take a ride, till the bike is heat and try again to start the bike with the button, if the problem persists then you should change the starting motor. Before you change the starting motor, change the starting relay, is cheap and probably can solve your problem too.

Dismantle the switch block on the right bar, make sure nothing has gotten in and blocked the circuit. In the past I have found an insect in there where it's wings blocked the switch. Clean the contacts and it should work.

Some times the engine will not turn over

Yes, I would agree that you've got a bad starter relay. As for the engine quitting while you are riding, that could be many different things - but when combined with the starting problem, I would suspect a bad electrical connection at the relay - or between the battery and the relay. I don't know for sure about your bike but generally most bikes have the main power connector near - or at - the starter relay. From there the power goes directly to the fuses and gets distributed to the rest of the bike from that point.
Again, I am not intimately familiar with your bike, but to find the relay, just follow the clicking sound. Usually, the relay isn't too far from the battery or the main fuse box. The starter relay will always have two large cables attached to it - one from the positive side of the battery, the other going to the starter motor.

MC cranks, but wont start.

You have done good - This is a shot in the dark but if the bike thinks the bike is in gear with the kickstand doen (kickstand relay) the bike will not start - look for a voltage from the kickstand relay (at the kickstand)

Sounds like the oil is thick. Do you know what weight oil was installed last? If there was 40 weight put in and its getting colder out it get thicker. You can change the oil to a 30 weight and change the filter to see if that helps.
