Smoking white I have 05 gsxr 600 with bout 22k miles. It recently started smoking during deceleration. When I first cranked it, it started right up but after I let off the gas from giving it a few revs I noticed the smoke. So I revved a few more times and put my hand over exhaust. My hand had a few wet spots but the smell wasn't real sweet or real burnt either. After a few revs and checking the exhaust the wet spots stopped. But even still it would smoke when decelerating. The wet spots had a lil bit of black spots too. My guess was that it was oil. I new to this so any insight u can give me would be great.

If goes away , not overheating or loosing coolant or billowy white smoke most likely burning off moisture [ like dew on grass ] that has accumulated in exhaust system black spots is carbon that moisture is carrying away this is normal --but if any of the above problems are present possibility would be a bad head gasket

SOURCE: White smoke exhaust

White smoke is caused by coolant or water coming out the tail pipe. There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event. If its less then there leak coolant leak in the car engine which is causing this problem....

SOURCE: '03 gsxr 600, rusty fuel tank n rough revving

carbs need a good cleaning. had this same problem with an 82 GS1100. cleaned the tank as best i could, you can never get all the rust tho. finally had an idea to place a couple of old car speaker magnets on the outside bottom of the tank to catch any residual rust. been 4 years now with no more problem.

SOURCE: Triumph TT600 stalls during deceleration

under your air box on left side is kind of a round canister pretty small called stepper motor has 4 vacuum lines one from each carb annd 3/8 hose that runs up to air box usually 3/8 hose comes loose or falls off has to have good seal you can tell if its working look in from left side of bike through fairing when idling should see four vacuum lines pulsing if not check 3/8 hose and vacuum lines if all are intacked its probably the stepper motor they are two peice has teflon piston inside if bike ever went down oil goes int airbox down 3/8 hose into it and gumms it up run about $50

I have a gsxr-600 the postive of the batt. hit the frame hasn't ran right since and shuts off after about 3 miles and then you have to wait before it will start again

You have shorted something out. Possibly fried the ECM. Check all fuses, and wiring. If they are all good, then the ECM is probably fried...and time for another.

Spudders in mid range putting out alot of white smoke

White smoke generally indicates that oil is getting into the combustion process. Three possible causes are: a blockage of the crankcase vent, worn piston rings, or worn valve guides and/or seals.
Check the easy thing first: the crankcase vent. Make sure the rubber tube is not kinked or pinched somewhere. Also check that the air filter box doesn't have any water or oil sitting in the bottom (this will block the crankcase vent).
Next, try to determine if the smoke is mostly during acceleration, or deceleration. Smoke while accelerating usually means worn pioston rings, while smoke under deceleration would point to bad valve guides or seals.
Armed with the above information, you may now decide weather or not to teardown the engine - and what to look for if you do.

2006 suzuki 1300 hayabusa cranks and runs great but smokes alot of white smoke

Crankcase oil is getting into the combustion process. Check the following: Crankcase oil level - make certain it is not overfilled. Crankcase ventilation system - check for blocked or kinked crankcase vent hoses.
If the smoking persists, try to take note of weather it is during acceleration, or deceleration. Smoke during acceleration normally indicates worn piston rings, while smoke during deceleration means worn valve guides and/or valve guide seals.
If the smoke smells like antifreeze, then you most likely have a leaking head gasket.

Gsxr 600 1999 rough idle white smoke underpowered knocking pinki

I,d probably do a compression check on this old girl. sounds like she needs some attention to the top end.The valve stem seals sound like there spent.Oil is seeping past the seals into the combustion chamber and being burnt off, thus explaining the rough idle and white smoke at start-up and dissipating as the engine warms up.Probably time to spend a bit of coin keerossi.Think of it as an exchange, money for thrills.hope i've helped you out a bit....tabby...OZ

I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent and white smoke at startup and now severe white smoke on occasion when driving. 16k miles, I drive about 600 miles a month.

White smoke during startup is indicative of a blown head gasket and/or cracked cylinder head..
Have the cylinders pressure tested to verify.
Do not use engine additives to try and stop the leak. They do not work.

Will not start now!

Could also be a bad rectifier not sending the proper voltage back to the battery for charging or you just got a bad battery. Since you just put in a new battery I'd suspect that and have it checked at the shop you bought it from.
