Hi My Battery is flat on Bentley GTC how do I access manual release mechanism, I do have access into the boot Via the removal of centre Armrest which has a lock, have undone hatch where is the release mechanism if i put my hand through the hatch, inside the hatch access there is a small removable panel which contains a T handle with a point on one end this can be removed what does this do does it have anything to do with releasing the manual boot mechanism My car is 2007 model Thanks
Usually, the "T" handle is an emergency release, in case someone becomes locked in the trunk, believe it or not.
It's attached to a cable that activates the latch mechanism.
There is suppose to be a manual release behind the rear seat. Also, once the passenger rear seat back is removed, you will see a lever that rotates from left to right. This lever is quite stiff and you might find it easier to rotate if you have someone press down gently upon the trunk lid in the center. As you rotate the lever, you should hear a click as the trunk is released. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/attac...

If I am not mistaken, you have to remove the head rests, remove the bottom bench, fold down the armrest and remove the bolts behind it (Note: At the bottom, the bolts for the seat are held in by a clip... You just take a flathead screwdriver and pry it forward and it will then release. Make sure you dont let the seat-belts retract; it be difficult to get it back.) Typically, it takes about 2 hours to remove the seats. You will also need a metric set of Allen and Socket Wrenches to remove the bolts.
SOURCE: 2007 Continental GT Coupe, how do I remove the
removing the seat will not help you get to the trunk/boot the only way is to reach in the little cubby hole in the middle of the rear seat with somthing so you can reach the trunk release handle. the batteries are in the boot.
