Usually, the "T" handle is an emergency release, in case someone becomes locked in the trunk, believe it or not.

It's attached to a cable that activates the latch mechanism.

There is suppose to be a manual release behind the rear seat. Also, once the passenger rear seat back is removed, you will see a lever that rotates from left to right. This lever is quite stiff and you might find it easier to rotate if you have someone press down gently upon the trunk lid in the center. As you rotate the lever, you should hear a click as the trunk is released. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/attac...

SOURCE: I have a 2000 Bentley and I can't remove the rear set to pull the manual trunk release

If I am not mistaken, you have to remove the head rests, remove the bottom bench, fold down the armrest and remove the bolts behind it (Note: At the bottom, the bolts for the seat are held in by a clip... You just take a flathead screwdriver and pry it forward and it will then release. Make sure you dont let the seat-belts retract; it be difficult to get it back.) Typically, it takes about 2 hours to remove the seats. You will also need a metric set of Allen and Socket Wrenches to remove the bolts.

SOURCE: 2007 Continental GT Coupe, how do I remove the

removing the seat will not help you get to the trunk/boot the only way is to reach in the little cubby hole in the middle of the rear seat with somthing so you can reach the trunk release handle. the batteries are in the boot.

Bentley emergency start procedure

On this model it is a good idea to use a battery tender if storing at all. Low battery voltage can cause this. Considering the costs of this vehicle i would make the dealer look into the dash issue.here's a link for viable battery tenders http://batterytender.com/products/automotive.html

Flat battery on my bentley flying spur how to open boot

There should be a red "+" point under the hood. Connect jumper leads or a booster pack to this point and a good earth point on the chassis or engine block and use the remote key fob to open the trunk.

My bentley battery is dead & my key is stuck in the ignition what can i do?

There are very specific battery jumping procedures in the cars smaller maintenance book as opposed to the larger owners manual. Provided you can open the trunk to access both batteries. There is also an emergency starting procedure to use the main battery instead of the starting battery to start the car in the owners manual. If both batteries are exhausted this emergency procedure will not work.

Jumper cables work per the procedure in the manual - portable quick start devices such as ones the auto club use to start a dead battery did not work for me on this car - they had to hook up jumper cables as indicated in the manual to successfully start.

The drivers side AGM battery is specific to the car and can be purchased (likely special order) at any Volkswagen or Audi dealer (maybe Porsche also) - the passenger side starting battery is more generic and can be replaced with a variety of batteries provided they meet the same specifications as the OEM battery.

Make certain any shop that changes the battery is familiar with the battery safety terminal disconnect procedures as if they accidentally trip this device it severs the battery cables using a compact explosive charge.

I can't get my convertible top to go up or down, it is stuck half way. Is there a manual release for it?

The convertible top motor and release lever are in the luggage compartment.
From the Bentley manual, the following general procedure is suggested in order to close the top in an emergency situation.
Main motor. To release the top linkage from the motor, lift the left corner of the rear seat to access emergency release handle.
It is then possible to push the top manually to a near closed position. In case of the semi-automatic top, simply attach and lock the front latches.
Front latches. Once the fully automatic convertible top has been released from the motor and manually pushed to near-closure, emergency latching of the top is possible by using the S-shaped hex key provided in the emergency tool kit(attached to the trunk lid underside).
First, remove the the plastic cover over the latch motor in the front bow of the convertible top.
Next, use the hex key from the tool box to crank the front latches shut.

Manual trunk release

There are 2 ways to do this. Remove the right rear seat cushion, and seatback. You will find a lever, that is the manual release for the trunk. If this is broken, use a large suction cup, and remove the taillights. This will provide access to the main battery, and start battery. Using an AGM approved charger, charge the main battery(Left-side-AGM) and start battery (Right-side-regular)
