transfer case shift control module
Transfer Case Shift Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
Important: The transfer case shift control module (TCCM) is located under the drivers seat carpet. For removal purposes, access the TCCM from underneath the carpet.
Remove the drivers bucket seat or split bench seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or Split Bench Seat Replacement.
Remove the left front sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement.
Remove the left hinge pillar. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side.
Remove the left center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.
This module is located behind the interior side trim panel, LH side behind the front seat, below the rear LH side glass. AKA B Pillar trim panel. Access from inside, probably will require removal of the rear seat bottom and even top of seat to remove the panel. it will be the small box in the center of that area once the panel is removed. Good luck!
If both passengers and drivers side retractable belts have stopped moving, then it's likely the controller that's located under the passengers seat has gone bad. If only one side has stopped retracting and moving then that side motor has probably gone bad.
This is more difficult than it looks because the rear trim panels must be removed in a certain order as they overlap at their edges.
First remove the rear seat. Remove the step panel from the floor near the side door opening. Unbolt the 2 seat belt anchors. Remove the trim panel below the lift gate (rear hatch opening.) Pry the screw plugs out with a small screwdriver and remove the screws. Pry out the rear speaker grill using a flat blade screwdiver that has been taped to prevent scratches. Remove the rear speaker mounting screws. Pull the speaker out and unplug the connector. Remove the passenger side trim panel mounting screws. Use a panel clip removal tool and pry the clips that hold the trim panel then lift the panel away.

Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
Tighten retractor anchor bolt and safety belt anchor plate-to-sill bolt to 34-46 Nm (25-33 lb-ft).
Unlock the left hand seat lock, lift up the lock, inside is a small lever, depress this and seat will come off. To access the battery after seat removal there are three (3) pan head bolts holding on the side panel remove these carefully and this will allow full acces to the battery.
I did this the other day. I think there were 1 or 2 screws holding it in place that you have to remove the bottom part of the back seat to get at them.
