Question about kawasaki Motorcycles
I have a kawasaki 650r 2009, when getting of the highway, i began to hear a nasty noise, sounds like gears grinding. as i accelerate the noise continues. don't know if i should take to mechanic or if it could be a small problem i can fix my self.
HI If your bike is chain drive, look at the chain tension, the chain could be hitting the gear box case. If you primary sprocket is worn the the chain could be jumping teeth If you have a shaft drive then inspect the universal joints and the differential oil level

It sounds like the primary drive chain is loose. The way I adjust mine is to take off the upper left inspection cover, start the bike and slowly tighten the adjuster until it starts to wine, then back off until it stops. Rev it slowly and listen for a wine. No wine good to go.

only two things going on here, first the clutch is out of adjustment, no enough free play, the next is the clutch plates and springs need replacing.
