It does sound like a paper sensor in the automatic document feeder may be stuck and the machine keeps trying to eject the paper that is not there. I have not seen this before, you may have to call Brother at 1-877-BROTHER to find the nearest service center.

You need to call a Service Technician, You need to do a Registration adjustment and A Service Tech who is Brother authorized will know how to do it ? Your registration is off.

This sounds to me like the motor running the scanner is not working.
However, there are three or four causes of this error. The home
position sensor, the motor, the CCD, the main board and the engine
board.
You should be able to find the sensor that detects the scanner lid.
Fool it with a piece of tape or a finger. Look at the scanner after
pressing copy to see what is happening.
You could open up the scanner and check the movement to make sure
it's smoth, but this is a lot of work. The best option is to pick up a
used scanner from a Brother service centre. Install it and see if it
solves your problem. Of course, you wouldn't be able to return it if it
did not solve the fault. This is why Brother recommended you take it to
a service centre, the troubleshooting is very in-depth for a fault of
this nature.
the paper feeder cant grip the back side of the paper. It slip through the feeder and the positioning led control cant adjust the correct positioning for printing!
