If you are in the defence services the rego needs not be changed until the current rego runs out. If not as soon as you have a current place of residence you will need to change it over . You will need a road worthy certificate ( available from certified inspection stations) . You will also need to change the address on you licence once you have settled . You can get 6 month or 12 month rego and including the road worthy certificate it will be around $1000.00 (maybe a bit less). If you surrender the plates before you leave you may be entitled to a partial refund from WA and you can get a permit here to drive your vehicle to an inspection station. Information can be obtained from Qld department of transport. gov.com.au as to your legal requirements and possible rego costs.

dig around for old calendars or maybe the internet. compare dates. like for example. (my birhtay) july 12 in 1998 was a sunday. in 2009 july 12 was also a sunday. so u know that all dates in 2009 will line up with 1998. so in setting the vcr, make like its 98.
