SOURCE: Want to change the spark plug on my new bike - 07
Taking out the plug is straight foward ,you should have a plug spanner in your tool kit .But take care putting the new plug back ,and DON'T cross thread the plug ,as this will damage the head and cost a lot of bucks to repaire .

I have a suzuki 2005 dirtbike 250 4 stroke I can't find my manual anyone have that i can download or do you know where the spark plug is? it won't start
SOURCE: 2002 YZ250F wont start
Assuming all other things are working properly(carb and ignition), check the valve clearances. Specifically look for any valve that doesn't have any clearance. This is very common, especially with bikes that have alot of time on them. If so, have the valve(s) adjusted, but keep an eye on any that had closed up. If they close up again in the near future, you'll have to have the valve replaced.
When the valves do this, they are held slightly open all the time and let your compression bleed off, causing it to be near impossible to start. If the bike does start, it will be much easier to start again once it's warmed up. But back to the same when it cools off.

Pull the plug boot. carefully lower a 5/8 plug socket into the hole, followed by a very short extension. Then rotate until it drops around the hex and attach a ratchet. Loosen it up, then take the ratchet off, then the extension, then use a pair of needle nose pliers to extract the plug along with the socket. This is how to do it without removing the gas tank and without any special tools. This method will work - it's a pain changing the plugs in these bikes. Hope this helped.
