The fan/clutch assy has left hand thread. Loosen by turning clockwise.

Remove radiator top shroud & air cleaner assy. to gain access.
Remove engine cooling fan by holding the belt drive pulley with a suitable flat bar tool (that fits over the top of the drive pulley attachment bolts), then using a suitable flat spanner to unscrew the fan clutch assy (clockwise). When re-fitting, tighten clutch nut to 30 ftlb.
You may need to use a bit of ingenuity in making the flat bar holding tool, unless you are able to procure the BMW tool #11.5.030.
Good luck

Do i need to replace the pump if the fan is loose on my bmw 325 I

If the pump bearing is worn out, it will be leaking coolant. If it is not leaking coolant, then the looseness must be the fan clutch. You want to replace this before it comes completely apart or it will destroy the radiator when it comes apart.
You will need to make or buy a tool to hold the water pump pulley from turning while you unscrew the fan clutch from the water pump. If you have a drill and a grinder, just look at a picture of the tool on a website that sells them and you can figure out how to make one for a few bucks.
That big nut on the fan clutch that screws onto the water pump shaft is left-handed thread.

How do you remove a water pump from a bmw 328i

Very tricky there what your asking you need to remove alot of parts to get it done but its possible.
You must remove the radiator than the engine plastic cover than remove all the belts and everything in the way. Along with being able to remove the reverse threaded fan clutch which you need a special tool to hold it while you undue the 22mm or 32mm bolt from the fan clutch bolt than you remove all the water pump bolts good luck

How do i remove the water pump from bmw 325

Drain the cooling system & remove cooling fan. Loosen the pump pulley bolts & remove aux. drive belt. Remove the pulley bolts/nuts & pulley. Remove pump bolts. If pump is tight, install 2 M6 bolts into jacking holes and push pump out. Save the seal O-ring for new pump. Reverse for install.

2003 bmw 325i fan resistant

Your fan resistant as you put it is on the side of the internal heater radiator container. a bit hard to get at Easy way of puting is above the clutch pedal (right hand drive) on to your left. Hard to see. One screw holding the unit.

Hi

Yes you need to replace what is called the Fan Viscous Coupling Unit.

Then swap over the fan blades.

Quite straightforward.

Good luck !

I need a fuse panel diagram for a 1987 bmw 325i

your car has double squirrel cage fan.  Odds are it is not the fuse.  The brushes wear out in motor  and it does not make contact causing it not to work.  Try this.  Open hood on firewall behind intake(aluminum part where it says bmw) the fire wall has bolts in it. The fan access is behind there.  First i would try hitting that area a hammer to try to bounce the contacts of the blower motor.  Do this while the fan is in the on position.  If that does not work remove the screws and the fan is behind there.  There is a resistor and a motor behind there.  A giant clip holds it in.  You have to be inclined to change it
