Yamaha 2001 Raptor 660, sat for a year, wont start, starter is ok, battery is ok, spark is great, but it sounds like starter is not engaging, when it does engage bike just cranks and cranks. my atv doesnt starts I think that my carb needs to be cleaned but i dont now how to removed for the atv and how even to clean it
Drain and replace the gas with fresh.
Remove the air cleaner and spray carb cleaner into the inlet. Work your throttle a little then put everything back together and try to start it.
If u put ur wheeler in first gear then rock it back in forth, when u rock it dont hold your clutch in.to get the pistion back to the compression stroke.then try to start it. You might have to try this few times to find ur compressioan stroke. MSG me back if doing this helps it start. Cuz it could b number of thing u will want to check to fix this. But first drain old gas an put sum dry gas in it.
