Vw t25 gearbox oil change

You will need a very large allen wrench (like 19mm or so) for the drain and fill plugs.
This is an uncommon size so if you do not want to invest in one just have a shop do it.
If you decide to go ahead, get GL-4 hydraulic oil and a pump. Remove fill plug first (to ensure you can before draining transmission!) on side of transmission, about mid-line.
Then remove drain plug (center bottom toward engine). Have catch pan ready.
Once it has all dripped out, replace drain plug and fill with pump through side plug until it starts to drip back out (car level).
Let it finish dripping out, replace plug and good to go!

Transmission fill & drain plugs location

The transmission drain plug is underneath the transmission. The fill plug is in the chrome end cover of the transmission. It's the plug that takes the large hex key or Allen wrench to remove. 3/8" hex key if the original plug is in it. 20-24 ounces of oil.

Good Luck

What is the size of the allen wrench needed to fit the oil pan drain plug in a 1995 toyota celica

The oil pan drain plug should require a 14mm hex head wrench to remove. The transmission pan requires a 10mm allen head socket, or wrench to remove. Are you sure you're trying to remove the correct drain? The oil drain should be on the passenger side and on the rear corner of the pan.

1983 mercedes 300td wagon, does anyone know the size of the allen wrench to remove the transmission drain plug, I tried all sae sizes, none fit

should either be 17 or 19 mm. everything about this car is metric. please be careful or you WILL spend more time fighting and drilling then enjoying your vehicle. come to think of it it could be 10mm but doubt it.
