I have a Yard Machine by MTD , changed spark plug and it still wont start, what next

You can make sure your carburater is clean. Clean the filter. Some time you can get a enpty coffee can and pour some gas in it and rinse the filter out repeatedly. Check the oil also that should get you back on the green..............: )
What most usually happens is, the gasoline evaporates in the carburetor after a few weeks of sitting, and turns to a gummy deposit. Then, it will no longer work until it is cleaned out so gasoline will flow through it.
2 solutions. One, start and run the mower every 2 or 3 weeks to keep it from gumming up. 2, add a gasoline additive that will keep that from happening. Stores have lots of additives, but I don't know of the name of one that is exactly what you need.
