how old is the gas it may have a lot of water or junk in it.drain the bowl on the carb and drain the fuel out of the tank, check the petcock screen inside the gas tank. also i would not spray start fluid into the plug hole, it could blow a hole in the top of your piston, spray a little right into your air cleaner or carb.good luck

It sounds like it is running too lean for some reason. First, let's assume that the normal tune up items are correct (valve tappet clearances, spark plugs are good, air filter, etc.). Also included in this assumption is that the engine has good compression (at least 140 psi on all cylinders) and that there are no air leaks between the carbs and the engine.
The aftermarket exhaust will generally require larger jetting in the carburetors - especially when combined with anything but the stock air cleaner box assembly. So, right off the bat, plan on going up to the next size larger pilot and main jets for the exhaust alone - PLUS another two to three sizes bigger if you aren't using the stock air cleaner box.
Finally, make sure the carbs that you have refitted to your bike are not clogged up from sitting with gasoline in them. It only takes a few months for the fuel to evaporate and leave behind a varnish that will require the carbs to be disassembled and cleaned.
SOURCE: starts and runs with choke on for about 1minute or
Sea foam isn't always the answer there is far better things to use, berryman B12 chemtool is the best i have found for thing that haven't been sitting for a awhile but just need a good clean or water problems.
On to the problem at hand, has your bike sat for any amount of time? if so you need to clean your carbs. the gas will varnish and block the jet. will the bike run without the choke? Check your coilby seeing if you have spark test each hole if you have good spark them you know that coils and pickup are working.
Let me know what you find, Good luck

Check the spark timing.
Check fuel delivery. If it consistently runs on starter fluid then dies when that is exhausted, suspect a vacuum leak in the carburetor or intake manifold. This will keep the engine from sucking in fuel.
