To reduce dust in your home the best thing is a humidifier. Dust becomes airborne due to dryness, by adding a humidifier it will keep pet hair and lint from fabric, carpets, etc. to a minimum.

What year was Amanda air command high efficiency 80 gas furnace produced. Have problems with dust. Notice furniture gets dusty when furnace on.

The year it was produced has no relevancy on tyhe dust in your home. You may want to consider having your ducts cleaned and possibly a pull and clean on your blower wheel. Also a good cleaning on the evaporator with routine filter changes will help with dust as well. Best Wishes.

There's black dust all over our furniture, floor, computer , etc. it's coming from our heating vent and i have kids. could this dustpossibly harm them? and is there a specific name for this dust?

Yes this dust can be harmful for all of you. This is dust coming from the flue and the burners. which means that they need to be cleaned extremely well. I would call a technician out and have them service the heating unit. They will also check for a cracked heat exchanger

On my Sebo Airbelt C3, I can't open the dust bag compartment. It's jammed shut. The handle doesn't seem to be able to shift the mechanism inside.

Try spraying some furniture polish into the release handle. maybe just dust preventing it from opening and the wax and get in there and clean out the dust. Other then that, you will have to just keep working it until it opens.

Produces a ton of white dust... Why???

Your V5100N ultrasonic humidifier generates a fine mist by vibrating the water at an exremely high speed. The water doesn't actually evaporate until after the water mist is in the air. As the tiny water droplets evaporate in the air, the calcium and other minerals settle on your floors and furniture.

Humidifiers that evaporate the water in a filter wick, or with heat, do not generate dust because the water evaporates inside the unit and the calcium is trapped inside.

You can avoid the dust problem with your humidifier by using distilled water. Distilled water is available in most stores that sell bottled water in gallons...but be sure to choose "distilled" water, not "purified" water. Try the distilled water in your steam iron also...if you have one. It will last longer.
