Key fob is not unlocking the bike

When replacing the key fob battery there is no reprogramming required! If the key fob was working prior to the battery replacement then it would point to the contacts not being correct! Remove key fob battery and start again!

Sounds like the alarm system is activating. If this is a newer model, make sure you replace the battery in the key fob that comes with your bike and it will disable the security system automatically. If it is an older model put in a new battery in the key fob and push the button on the fob to disable the security system. If you can't get a battery for you fob right away, look in your owners manual to see how to disable the security system on the bike using the codes you should have entered into it when you first got your bike.

The contact(s) on the fob are getting dirty and in need of cleaning. Open up and use some alcohol or chemical contact cleaner to do the job.

It is not clear whether the problem is with the fob or the receiver in the car. You could try replacing the fob (they are available online from various sites) but the receiver will need to be programmed to use it, and that usually requires a trip to a dealership (unless you have access to the OEM service manual). Your best bet is to take it to a dealership and have them diagnose and repair the problem.

You say that your key fob does not unlock the car. Try to open the door ordinary and try to start the car. If the car wont start means that your key fob has lost the program and needs re-programing. The other option is either you by any case confused the key fob with the standard key which is only to unlock the doors. The last senario is when you have opened the key fob to check the battery lost the microchip and that is the reason for not starting. Check following my advice. Good luck.

The key fob is not getting detected by the bike.------- The turn signals start flashing because it thinks the the key fob is not close to the bike.------- The batteries are replaced, but still key fob is not getting detected.------ Try this :--- Turn the handlebars to the left and lock them with the key. Once locked, unlock and try to restart, this resets the alarm on my 2008 FLHX.---- Try raising the kickstand and let the bike go. My cadilliac sts 2005 key fob started no working. when I try to start it the car tells me that the key fob is not detected. I just changed the battery and it is still doing it. What else could be wrong with it:

start the engine and then turn off and lock ur steering and it will work

replace the battery in the key fob and unlock the car with that, if u last locked the car with the key fob, you armed the alarm and can only be disabled by unlocking with the key fob, the car wont start because its an anti theft feature.
