My 01 Zx6R is running very very rough it wont cruise for nothing feels like im riding a wild bull with the constant acceleration/deceleration. in 2nd gear i can get the bike to redline but click into third it will hold the rpm wont go any faster and if i let go the throttle itll start to choke and die in the lower rpms. i dont know what to do. ive replaced the spark plugs and even cleaned the carbs but the problem persists. sounds horrible like maybe its misfiring and theres no acceleration it has to fight through the misfires to gain speed sort to speak.

hi. its the hose for equalising the air pressure in the carbs when the bikes moving . bikes with ramair need this. if you check at the scoops in the front of the fairing you will see a hose behind one wich runs all the way back to the carbs an airbox . it sounds like that hose is off somewhere .

Sounds like fuel starvation, remove airbox lid and check the slides in the carbs are not stuck, this sometimes happens when the fuel in the carbs becomes old and forms a stickey bond between the needle and main jet diffuser, you may benefit from a complete overahaul of the carbs again, 2 years is a long time, and i would not find it unusual to do this anualy unless you continue to use the bike, remove the slides and check the diapram condition for holes, remove the mainjets clean, allso the pilot jets and clean them using a wire from a wire brush push through the jet twisting and pusshing, also blow out the holes the jet screws into, remove the float valves and clean them with some wire wool taking care not to damage the rubber tip, and the valve seating should also be cleaned,

After my 94 ranger heats up, about 3-4 miles, it starts runniing very rough and stalls when I decelerate

Your torque converter lock-up solenoid is sticking in the "Locked-up" position.

When you accelerate past 1st gear (into 2nd), your transmission "locks-up" to the engine

W/cruise engaged, engine seems to miss and run roughly

Its probably a problem with the cruise vacuum hose.......maybe blocked a little or the vacuum seal leaking a little. Trace the vacuum hose through to the engine area.

I want to know how to use my cruise control in my 1994 Toyota pickup. It has all the buttons and the capability but the words are scratched off and i don't have a manual.

Generally... There is ON/OFF - SET - ACCELERATE/RESUME, COAST/DECELERATE. Cruise is available at speeds above 35mph or so. Sometimes there is no main on/off. Cruise on a turn signal stem has a button that pushes in on the end, push when at desired speed. resume/accelerate slides to right, is spring loaded and return left when released. the same lever when slid left is coast/decelerate. Momentarily sliding accelerate and releasing increases crusing speed by a couple mph. If brakes are used cruise disengages, sliding resume returns you to cruise speed after braking. Coast/decelerate disengages cruise, when at desired lower speed hit set. On some, hitting set not needed, when coast is released speed is maintained. Variations may be up/ down instead or may be steering wheel face mounted. Please rate answer. Duct tape is like the force, it has a dark side.. a light side.. and holds the universe together!

Rough idle, cruise control also stopped working

Sounds like you could have gotten some water in your fuel tank from that fill up. Go to a autoparts store and get a product to put in the tank that takes care of water in fuel. Use it when you fill the tank up a few times after and hopefully it goes away. Whenever you can't sustain power in the engine or it runs rough then your cruise control will constantly be shut off because the engine doesn't have the power to keep the speed up and should go away once your engine is running clean again.

Good Luck

Constant backfire on deceleration 88 chevy 4.3 V 6

Check for exhaust leaks. Esp Leaks toward the front of the car. Hold your hand over the tail pipe using a rag and see where the loud hissing noise comes from. Repair the leaks and I bet the backfiring goes away

Good Luck
