04 Yamaha Yz 125- Rear brake Master cylinder

Hi, I have just rebuilt my son's 2004 YZ 125 rear brake master cylinder with new cylinder kits from Yamaha. WHEN I tried to bleed the system. It seem do not built up the pressure. I suspected the cylinder check valve may be defected. Or do you have sample drawing of the component construct.Thank you

Are you bleeding it by gravity (flowing down from resevior thru caliper) or forcing the fluid up thru the caliper to the resevior. The latter will get more air out in less time. Simple cheap pump kits are available at you auto dealer and u can use it on your other vehicles.

My 2002 yamaha yz250 has been sitting for maybe four to five years and i haven't touched anything that has to do with the brakes only cleaned out the carb, but the other day i took it out riding and...

Did you bleed the air out of the rear master cylinder and brake line? Be sure the master cylinder has brake fluid and don't let it get too low while bleeding the brake. Bleed the master cylinder first, then the wheel caliper. tombones49_196.gif

Yere my 1996 yamaha atv timberwolf when i apply the rear brakes the brakes stay on and dont click of whats the problem

The Timberwolf has a cable operated brake system, not a hydraulic so there is not a master cylinder. Most likely causes are: mud in brake drum, broken/weak return springs (inside brake drum) or a sticking cable. Take off rear wheel to access the drum, and then remove the drum. The problem should become clear. BTW..hydraulic brakes use brake fluid, not oil.

Front brake master cylinder wont pump fluid

Yes, you can buy a master cylinder rebuild kit. If you can't find a rebuild kit the whole thing can also be replaced.

How much is my yz 125 worth?

the retail value in good condition is approx $1,500. meaning it looks good, runs good, good tires, breaks, chain and sprokets. but with the extras you have and the after market up grades, i would start with a little higher price.
