Leakin oil out of rear on my 07' v-star 1100 custom

It is leakin oil only when I am riding. It can sit all day and not leak a drop of oil but when im riding i notice my rim has oil on it.

Once your bike and the oil warms up crevasses can become more leak prone and oil becomes less dense making it easier for it to find its way through open spots. I would get the bike warm and then with the bike still running do a close up inspection to search for the trouble spot. Hopefully its just a top end gasket which has usually been the case with me.

Oil leak for engine

make sure the drain plug is in all the way check the pan and make sure its not leakin from there make sure the filter isnt leakin then check the oil hoses and the pump

Top of final gear there is a knob where oil is leakin

" Top of final gear ", If you mean the output sprocket then the oil seal needs to be replaced. Not a big deal to do. If the knob you refer to is on top of the gearbox then you probably are referring to the crankcase breather tube. A bit of oil here is normal especially as a bike gets older. Blow-by from the cylinders goes into the crankcase and the out the breather tube. The only way to stop the oil is to bore the cylinders and put in new pistons and rings.
