This is a short, it could be the wire from the fuse chafing on the frame, follow it thru to the wiring loom, failing that then look at all te wiring for a split or exposed wire.
The Rm125 Vin number is usually on the bikes steering neck, just behind the front Number Board.
Usually it is just to the right of the steering neck so you can read it from the right hand side. The clutch cable will also run close past it so if you follow th eclutch cable from the clutch lever, to where it rounds the frame just past the steering neck, you will see the VIN Number.
Post the VIN from the frame. It can be used to decode the year. There should be a couple letters around the 8th or 9th digit in the VIN. This will denote the year. I have the cross reference, but can't reply without knowing the VIN.
It is highly unlikely the gearbox will mount in a 2003 frame without modifications. The crankcase part number for the '94 is 43860. The '03 number is 36890. Nine years is a wide span and many changes have taken place. Sorry.
