The tank thumbscrew on the left side is you reserve. it needs to connect to the petcock on the right side, across the carb to the top pipe. the petcock should have arrows on it (backside). the bottom petcock pipe goes to the carb. the carbs inlet pipe is on the right side and is adjustable...single screw in the center of inlet pipe allowing it to be rotated for straighter hose connection. that is depending on year of coarse.

Gas lines on Husqvarna grass trimmer

Sorry do not think you will find a schematic, however this is how it should be, the Mondo has a remote primer, so there are three pipes, a thin pipe with the fuel filter on the end in the tank goes to the carb connection closest to the alluminium pump cover held with a single screw, the other connection on the carb goes to the back of the primer on the shorter of the two conections ( suction side ) the longer connection on the primer ( pressure side ) goes back to the tank, this is the return pipe, so remember the primer pulls fuel from the barb, into the bulb and dumps it back to the tank, it does not push fuel into the carb

Will not start, do not think it is getting gas.

firstly make sure there is fuel in the tank.is the fuel tap on???put it on reserve??pull the pipe off the fuel tap to see if petrol is flowing??check the fuel pump if fitted to see if it is working.you will here the pump when you turn the ignition on for a second or 2.check the plugs to see if they are wet or dry.this will tell you if fuel is getting to the pots.

No fuel coming from tank into carb

1) This might sound daft but check if there is actually fuel in the tank. Many bikes have been stripped down by the hard of thinking only to find the tank was empty...or the tap was off... or should be on reserve... 2) Assuming this is a gravity tap (one main pipe) and not a vacuum tap (one main pipe and one smaller pipe at the side) Turn tap to off and remove pipe from tap. Turn tap on and see if fuel flows. If yes, then replace fuel pipe (this should sort it, try again with the pipe off at the carb end and see if fuel comes out. If it does but the bike still won't start then the carb jets are blocked.), if it still doesn't flow then go to3)
3) If there is fuel in the tank then remove tank and pour it out into a can. Remove tap from tank by unscrewing with the correct spanner. 4) Examine the guaze filter, it is probably full of crud and muck. Clean with fresh petrol and replace.
Hopefully that should sort it.

I have 2 extra small pipes coming off of the fuel tap and i dont no what they are.can you please tell me what they are for.for my nc24 vfr 400 honda.

A fuel tap normally has 3 pipes, 2 in and 1 out. If you have a fuel tap they you have a manual reserve. The first pipe will be linked to a long tube (main fuel supply) the second will be linked to the "reserve. It is all in the same tank space. When the fuel gets low the main pipe will **** air and the bike will starve fuel. Switch to the reserve and you will be drawing from the lower pipe (reserve, ie start looking for a fuel station) It is not recommended to use the reserve as the fuel in your tank normally has sediment at the bottom and blocks your filters. This sediment comes from the tank rusting and from the fuel pumps drawing bits from the concrete fuel tanks at the fuel stations.

If you strip the tap you will be able to see which is the main and which is the reserve.
Hope this helps

How to refill the reserve gas tank 1981 Honda CX500 motorcycle

there is only one tank to fill on your bike, your getting confused by the reserve. The reserve is just on the fuel tap itself. It has three positions, on , off and reserve. In the on position your fuel tap will be able to drink about 90% of your fuel tank and then it wont be able to drain anymore, then you must turn your fuel tap to the reserve position and it will be able to drink rest of your tank approx 10% that is left. So next time you fill up at a petrol station make sure your fuel tap is set to on, then when your bike starts to splutter out of fuel you can turn your fuel tap to reserve and get yourself to the petrol station to fill up, making sure you then turn your tap to on again. If you keep running out on the reserve it can cause debris in your tank to clog your carb up.
hope this helps

Fuel tap

by fuel tap i take it you mean to select between the reserve tank, and to switch the fuel off... on from 'new shape' models (2006 onwards) there is no switch: it has a vaccum system which sucks any unused fuel back into the tank..

when the fuel light comes on the 'reserve tank' is in use, so go fill up with some juice!
