SOURCE: Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

take the bulb back out have someone sit in car apply brake get your self a circuit tester and check to see if this circuit is carrying efficient 12 volt current! some times in cold weather these bulbs get hot with long period of breaking and when released condensate and rust begins and you get what you have perhaps bad socket! this would be a ideal location to begin and probably end,

SOURCE: Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

SOURCE: no head or tail lights

sounds like either a break in the running light feed or you have a bad ground on that circuit. pull plug from headlight bulb and with a tester. clip it onto the frame or other good ground. then see if you have power in the plug by sticking the pointy end in the terminal holes. if you do the tester will light up and you have a ground problem. check all ground connections you can find, not just plug in types also the ones that bolt to frame/enging etc. failing this you can always add a new ground locally to each light by splicing the wires into a ground you know is good.

SOURCE: no brake light

Use a multi meter to test operation and continuity from the switch backwards.

Be methodical and logical and you will eventually find the break in the circuit.

My brake light nd indictors at thread won’t work but the front indictors work

First you need to find out if there is 12 volts current where the brake lights hook up. If you have voltage, then put in new bulbs making sure that all the connections are clean and tight. If they still do not work then look to make sure that the system has a good ground.
If you do not have voltage at the brake lights then start looking for the power source. Check the brake fuses. If ok, go to the brake light switch which is bi the brake pedal . If ok, follow the wires that go to the brakes and check the connections.

Mr. Williams since you tried with fuse, bulbs and brake light switch with no success, why you do not try to check your circuit by using a tester and see whether you have any broken wire or bad earth?

The brake lights won't go out. I pulled the fuse so the battery doesn't go dead, but can't figure out why they are staying lit.

on your brake pedal there is a switch that controls your brake lights over time it comes to lose just enough for the switch won't come in contact with the pedal

No brake lights 1990 ford f 150

First, check fuses. If the fuse for tail and brake lights is OK, check the bulbs. If they are OK, you need a new brake light switch, which attached to the brake pedal under the dash. The part should be less than $20. These are a common replacement item on older fords.

Brake and park light are out

the mechanic should check on the loose connection wires ,then check the fuses.and the brake light bulb. and the park light bulb. You have said that the other lights are ok then it must be the loose wires or the bulb.but still check on the fuses for to be sure .
