If the bike will not even show power check the main fuse . it"s under the left side cover. if it shows power at key on, then i wonder if you have security. if you do the most common issue is the battery in the fobs. They should be replaced every year.

You need to have stator coil tested.
An alternate problem could be the regulator/rectifier.
Both of these should tbe checked by a dealer

Sounds like the oil is thick. Do you know what weight oil was installed last? If there was 40 weight put in and its getting colder out it get thicker. You can change the oil to a 30 weight and change the filter to see if that helps.

2010 x1200x will not start after battery replacement

Just leaving it on a plain trickle charger could overcharge and damage the battery but it sounds more like you cannot disarm the bike. Have you changed the fob battery. Need a minimum of 2.9 volts. Panasonic or other make 2032 battery

I just bought a new battery for my 2005 Softail Deluxe; I road yesterday (10/20 miles) as I was finishinng the run, the bike shut off; could this mean the battery was not fully charged? Will a trickle...

Good idea put it on a trickle charge, however, the battery had enough charge init to start the bike initially, and the bike should have charged the battery after 10-20 miles, worth checking the charge rate to the battery from the rectifier,

I just put my battery in the bike. I went to start it up, it powered up but when I went to start it up it clicked off.

The battery has to be fully charged on a trickle charger before putting it into the bike. The charging system in a bike is small compared to a car and does not keep the battery fully charged. Therefore, it is a good idea to put a trickle charger on it when it is idle.

No power

If your battery become too dead the trickle charger wont recognize the battery so it wont charge it. However in that case you just need hook two batteries together to even the charge so it will recognize it. if your battery is truly charged then its a loose wire somewhere or bad switch.
