All injectors will make a faint clicking noise when they are working. To see if the sound you are hearing is coming from an injector, un plug the injector and see if the sound goes away. There could be a lifter noise that you are hearing. There are many additives that can help you. A fuel additive can clean the injectors and help improve your performance. An oil additive can help clean the internal parts of the engine and reduce or even unstick a noisy lifter.
Change the air filter. For even better performance, give it a complete tune-up, including new plugs and wires, pcv valve, air filter, and change the oil. Good luck!
I suspect that there is a failed bearing on the output shaft or on the cluster shaft. This comes from the burnt oil condition which happens when a bearing is over heating due to failure and the gears not aligned when trying to change gears.
Engine oil for cold climates 5w-30. Warmer climates 10w-30. Any Auto-zone parts store person at the counter would be more than helpful choosing the correct fluids for your vehicle.
If the noise happens when car is in park and you rev it to about 1500rpm's then its thebearing in the oil pump of the torque converter. It should make noise all the time even in park ideling. You may need a rebuild transmission. Have the vehicle checked out at a transmission repair shop
It sounds like the valve block, propably the2-3 shift valve is fluctuating , possibly worn. or a weak spring.
You would need to remove, open and check the valve block.
Has the ATF been changed recently ? because that could cause it. New oil could flush the valve block so its very clean , removing any debrit ,and then it loses its integrity
being a renault, the n/s drive shaft holds the oil in box, it splits, replace then try oil some times they do thousands of miles others not, 5th gear over hears and braeks teeth off, then very noisey. if getting a box there is a tag on top, silver, near the diff, this has to be matched to other gearbox as so many different boxes.
