If your bike has shift indexers they could be out of adjustment.

Your teeth are worn on second gear. You'll have to disassemble the transmission to fix it. Sorry for the bad news. If you have a shop manual, Clymers or Haynes manual the procedure is quite detailed. Not something I would do myself unless you have a lot of experience.

The gearbox does not need to be relpaced. The bike has a bent shift fork. The engine comes out then gets a complete tear down to get to the bad fork. This will probably cost $1200 or so. Call a dealer and get an estimate. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

As suggested the fault is relative to a problem within the gear bax- transmission and it can be a case of gears, selectors , counters etc that have worn out but a complete picture can be confirmed only after a first hand view.
Take consensus and estimate if you do not have the equipments and support.
