Check transmission fluid

The most common transmission problem on a Nissan pickup is operating the truck with the transmission fluid low. Nissan owners needs to pull the dip-stick and see if the level is low. The fluid level must be checked when the truck engine is idling. Nissan pickup owners also need to look at the color of the fluid and see if it needs to be changed or just leveled off. The color must be transparent and not black or brownish in color. The owner must also smell the transmission fluid to see if the fluid smells burnt. If the transmission fluid smells burnt, then the transmission fluid must be changed as soon as possible. Over-filling the transmission fluid level also creates Nissan pickup transmission problems.

1985 isuzu pup cold the pickup has oil psi 45 hot it has oil psi 10- 0psi ?

Well how recant is the reading been saying this i mean did it all of a sudden start reading low . 10 PSI is to low for a hot engine you could try replaceing the oil pressure sending unit but if this dosn't fix it then i would have to say you have a serious problem interinaly in the engine eighter valve or ring related or a big oil leak somewhere dose it burn oil?

Oil pressure

Providing there is no engine noise when pressure reads low likely either the connector on your oil pressure sending unit is loose or the sender itself is failing. Check wire connection and if good, replace sender. If there is engine noise, likely you have an internal pressure problem that generally is caused by obstructed pump screen or worn engine bearings. Oil level is full?

My engine light is on all the time. Not the check engine light but the engine light. The oil level is full and has not been run low.

One of two problems. Bad oil sensor on the block or oil pickup tube in engine is plugging up. The sensor is not expensive, the oil pickup screen (and pump if you do it) install is not cheap.

Truck stalls

if it is burning rich, there for it will be over fueling around low rpm i do belive, which will cause the engine to flood, im guessing after you have been low rpm then go for high rpms, it like hesitaes and takes abit of a cough then goes, if that is the case then it is overfueling.

there is a way to advance/****** the engine mixture, but id say for safe if you don't know what your doing to take it do a garage, and ask for it to be timed up with the timing strobe light :) which will stop the, over fuelling around low rpms.

Some Asian cars and trucks hve the pump sitting low on the engine and might be hard to see. The resovoir tank should be visible on the engine or fender and the fluid is caried to the pump via rubber hoses.
