Check that your engine oil is clean(not contaminated with water). If you pull the dip stick out with oil on it you could put the oil coated dipstick into an open flame (lighter) for 3-5 seconds if it pops or crackles its wet.if it just smokes a bit its ok. A cold engine will do this fume-steam thing if the humidity is right.Once they warm up it usualy turns nearly clear.Make sure the bike is not exposed to rain, or cold to heat transitions. Some water from the tailpipe is normal, all gas engines can do it.If oil is dry and you dont have water from a cooling system dissapearing,(yours is air cooled) your probably ok.

I have found 3 speedo and tach clusters ,2 of them have the gear and signal lights with them, I have forgotten what they came off of. Where would you usually look to get numbers to identify what bikes they are for?

Gas leaking from the vent tube on the gas tank

The standpipe sits in the tank and connects the filter "sock". The only vents, or overflows, should either be from the carburetors (overflow) or vacuum vent (typically found on dirt bikes) on gas lid. You should have no lines that directly "vent" from the tank. It is possible you have the wrong tank installed on the bike. Just a suggestion. ^^ I hope this helps.

I have a kawasaki lakota 300 . on the carburetor there is two tubes one is gas . what's the other one for ?

That could possible be a drain back tube or vent tube. May also be overflow tube. Follow tube back from carburetor and see where it goes.
