When you say it keeps doing the same thing do you mean the wires keep burning, sounds as though you need to be finding a new wiring loom am sorry, if you carry on riding the bike you will eventually cook all of your expensive charging/and ignition components rendering the bike as scrap

remove tank and it is simple just take a few pics first these bikes can be a pain

you need to see if you have a spark at your plugs...this is your first step

I PRESUME YOU WERE CRANKING THE MOTOR WHEN YOU TESTED FOR VOLTAGE AT THE COILS? HAVE YOU CHECKED KILL SWITCHES AT SIDE STAND AND HANDLEBARS FIRSTLY?

THE TEMP GAUGE WORKS ON A LIVE FEED, TO THE GAUGE, WHEN THE COOLING SYSTEM GETS HOT THE GAUGE RECIEVES A SIGNAL

the zx7 wont fit the zx9 unless you modify it to suit but you will have holes that need to be filled and painted
