Kawasaki stockman kl250 motorbike; electric start only. had intermittant starting issues. would start ok some days & would not start other days. can be push started ok. when ignition on & neutral light shows; both stands up; starter makes click noise or no noise at all. battery checked full charge. by pushing bike back or forwards i gear, issue sometimes resolves itself & starts ok. at present everything fails. perhaps starter motor or solenoid problem? will new brushes rectify this??

SOURCE: starting problem on rs125

Based on your description, its sounds as though you have a starter or starter selnoid problem. The starter selnoid is not engaging the engine at first and then when it does, is nort passing enough current through to the starter motor to get the job done.

Try to jump start the bike, 2nd gear down hill key on and let the clutch out... If it starts you have a starter problem, could be the brushes.. good luck...

SOURCE: i have a 89 kawasaki ninja 250 that wont start just click

sorry to say it but the battery cannot handle the load, it may work with small things like lights and low amperage devices. but when you crank the starter motor your pulling far to many amps and the battery cannot put out meaning that the battery has a bad cell or it may just need a battery refill, today we just replace the batteries. it;s safer and a lot easier. plus you get money back for bringing in your old one. but the battery is not able to supply the proper voltage and amps anymore and should be replaced. a very simple test turn the key to run and turn your headlights on. then press the starter button see if the lights do not completely go out. if they do you have a dead battery cell. good luck with it, and thanks for using fixya

Sounds like the starter silanoid went bad. Take a screw driver and find the starter silanoid witch is uselly by the battery. It has the + cable coming from the battery to it and is bolted to it and then the other bolt has a cable going to the starter. Take the screw driver and touch the 2 bolts at the same time and the starter should turn the motor over. Make shure the bike is not in gear before you do this. Good Luck

SOURCE: starter clicking noise, bike won't start

start relay should be checked, if cables are loose or corroded they do not deliver enough power.if jumping the start relay will engage the starter replace the relay.

2000 Kawasaki KL250 Super Sherpa starts and dies.

Yes, that is something to do with the electrics, probably ignition system somewhere. Also check plug condition and especially to see if the spark gap is too wide.

'99 Kawasaki VN1500-G1. Starts, runs fine. Stop for gas, engine off, fill up, won't start for maybe a minute or so with intermittent cranking.

It might be electric. Check if the ignition coils are running hot. They wouldn't work until they cool down a bit.

Motorcycle kl250 stockman will not start

If you've tried using a shot of aerostart, and it won't fire there are only two MAIN reasons for that...no spark at the right time, or your valves are not sealing at the right time.

I hope this helps you, as with all problems, I wish I was there to experience what's happening.

Good luck, and thanks for letting us at FixYa.com help
