How does per capita GDP in the following countries

How does per capita GDP in the following countries stack up against America's (in percentage terms) America 47,020/other country 34,790

  • Quintine morton Sep 13, 2013

GDP first of all stands for gross domestic product; GDP is concerned with macroeconomics. The figure 47,020 represents Americas GDP and the figure 34,790 represents the GDP of some other country. I am looking for information on a formula or equation that will show what the percentage difference is in the two. Thanks for helping on this problem (product). Quintine Morton

To find what percentage one number is to another: get the lower number (34,790) multiply it 100, and divide by the higher number. (34790*100=3479000/47020 =73.99 when rounded two decimal points) , the second country stacks up against the first country in percentage terms is 73.99%. Hope this helps...I loathed economics!!!

Hi I'm trying to get some channels in my country but when I try to search their is only 2 country Mexico and America how can I get those channels in South America

Hello -

I believe you will need to purchase a TV which is coded for use in
Central and South America.

I suspect your current TV is coded for use in North America (using the ATSC standard.)

For most Central American and South American countries, TVs enabled for the ISDB-T standard are needed.

I what country in South American do you reside? You can click or tap on Comment to type in an answer or comment.

Best wishes.

The term 'new world' refers to wine produced in new world wine producing countries such as New Zealand, America, Australia, Chile, Argentina, or South Africa- in essence, all wine producing countries outside of Europe. They are referred to as New World because these countries did not start producing wine until the 15th, 16th, or 17th centuries.

Could you post some information on 'Where I've Been'?

'Where I've Been' is a detailed, interactive world map, show everyone where you've been, where you have lived and where you want to go." Overall: "Googlesque" in its simplicity and interface. Provides "fast facts" for most countries and states which include: population, GDP, life expectancy, unemployment rate, and a brief national history. As of now, this is the Facebook Travel App. I would like to see a photo album (possible user generated) for each country providing a taste of the landscapes.

WHAT DOES 12000BTUh MEAN OR REPRESENT IN AIRCONDIONING terMS? eg 12000 or 10000

Hi,
I found this explanation which I certainly couldn't improve on.

The British thermal unit (BTU or Btu) is a traditional unit of energy. It is approximately the amount of energy needed to heat one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit. One Btu is equal to about 1.06 kilojoules. It is used in the power, steam generation, heating and air conditioning industries. In scientific contexts the BTU has largely been replaced by the SI unit of energy, the joule (J), though it may be used as a measure of agricultural energy production (BTU/kg). It is still used 'unofficially' in metric English-speaking countries (such as Canada, the United Kingdom), and remains the standard unit of classification for air conditioning units manufactured and sold in many non-English-speaking metric countries.
In North America, the term "BTU" is used to describe the heat value (energy content) of fuels, and also to describe the power of heating and cooling systems, such as furnaces, stoves, barbecue grills, and air conditioners. When used as a unit of power, BTU 'per hour' (BTU/h) is understood, though this is often abbreviated to just "BTU".

I located it at this site all credit for this info is:

Hope this is what you need,
