Hero Honda Passion is a four stroke engine with Japanese technology. Usually this bike gives good mileage and apart from this the engine is very smooth with small valves which take part in combustion. Service after every 4000Kms is compulsory and at the time of servicing the engine it has to be tuned.Apart from such services personally you have to do this services : 1) Weekly water service using shampoo. 2) Check the battery terminals every week and clean them with warm water. 3)Use shining cloth for cleaning the painiting surfaces. 4)Check the blow as per the requirement (Every week). 5)Check the break linings every two months. 6) Cover the vehicle when not is use to protect from dust,

You don't have to do anything It does it on its own as long as the pieces are all there. The power valve is the thing that opens up a larger exhaust hole for the two stroke engine. It is shaped like a spool and it twists as pressure builds due to high rpm. On the 1984 it is on the left side of the bike right up front behind the clutch cover.

have you ever had the carb cleaned if not you may have a patially clogged idle jet remove floatbowl with a small screwdriver remove the smaller of the 2 jets the large one is the main jet remove and clean when held up to a light you should be able to see through it if not it needs to be cleaned a very small piece of wire works well but make sure its not to big or you will ruin the jet they are made of brass and are softer than most metals
