A bit late but if your wheels are a 5.5 rear rim then the 180/55/zr17 is the correct tyre and gives you a lot more choice than the 170. zx6r g1 1998 have 5.5 wheel rims.

Tyre pressures for a 175/65R14 tyre

Hi, sorry to say but there is no standard pressure for a tire size. It depends on make, load, tire type i.e. radial or crossply, tubed or tubeless. My Suzuki rear tire original Dunlop radial 36psi. changed to a Bridgestone same size 39psi. I would check with the tire manufacturer, if you run the tire over or under inflated you risk damaging the tire, poor grip and stability.

What size tyres camaro 1997 3800rs v6

The wheels could have been changed on the car from the standard original factory set and hence the tyre size may not be the standard factory original size.
The size of the tyres on the vehicle now is moulded into the side wall of the tyres and is easy to read.
Check all 4 tyres because larger size tyres may have been fitted as a pair to the rear.

The size might read - for example 245 45 18 or 235 45 17 (there are a huge number of sizes for each model of tyre).

The first 3 numbers are the width of the tyres in mm eg 225 mmm or 235 mm and so on. The second 2 numbers are the tyre profile size or ratio (which can be 70 65 60 55 50 45 40 and so on. The third number is the wheel diameter size. If you have 18 inch wheels on the car the tyres will read 18 or if they are 17 inch wheels the tyres will read 17 and so on.

Will a 180/55zr17 rear tire fit my 96 ninja zx6r?

Do you have a question about a ZX6R or a Vulcan 800 Drifter? If you are asking about the ZX6R all you have to do is look at the old tyre and fit one with the same sizing and profile.

Jaguar S Type, rear tyres scub out on the inside and the noise is unbearable

Check the tyre size to manufacturers specifications, if it is correct than have your suspension looked at, maybe it has worn out or it has been lowered by previous owner!!!

Diferent size tyres front and back is this normal?

That is normal, most motorcycles run different size front and rear tyres. My BMW has a 21" in the front and a 17" in the rear. The tyre you buy should match your riding style. Don't get a race tyre if all you do is communting, the tyre will wear out too quickly. Expect to pay $150 or so for a rear tyre, perhaps a little less for the front. Mounting & balancing is normally $20-$50 per tyre. Many shops will not mount a tyre you bought somewhere else, keep that in mind if you order tyres from the internet.
