Water pump replacement

You required to remove the front cover of the engines. You will be finding the timing belts and drive belts which is connecting the crank shaft at the bottom to A/C compressor, power steering pump coolent pump and a belt tensioner.

You have to loosen the belt tensioner and remove the belt. then you have to remove the pump. Before removing the coolent pump, you need to drain coolent, so that you can refill the same again.

Need to change coolent in radiater ,does this take a special kind of coolent and do i need to use a special type of radiater flush. Also is there a drain on the radiater?

You don't need to use a special kind of radiator flush, but the coolant is called DEX COOL. It's made by prestone specifically for GM engines, you can get it at walmart for like 5 bucks.

Oil in overflow , and its has a lot of pressure in it as well?

it sounds like a bad head gasket if your getting cylinder pressure in the
cooling system + oil, odd's are there is coolent in the oil.
I would not drive the car to avoid doing any more damage also if it's going to be a while before you have it fixed drain the oil + all coolent
put in fresh oil + filter leave coolent drained run the engine for a minute
to circulate the oil this should minimize any rust from sitting.
sorry i don't have better news good luck

Drainin coolent

pull the pipe off, take and unhook the tube going to the water pump let it drain. but if you want to drain it out of the motor then you will have to do some tearing apart. to refill it take off radiator cap fill it start it with the cap OFF for a few seconds (this works the air out of the system) then turn bike off and top it up.

Directions on replacing coolent

  1. Must be careful, projection coolent must not get on circuit board. It will short out. You must have a pump to suck coolent out of tv. Use alot of towels to catch dripping fluid.
  2. first take off lense
  3. then take out drain plug
  4. suck out coolent, be sure to either raise tv up to level off or have towel out to capture all fluid lost.
5 then when all out, clean all parts with windex or glass cleaner.
6 check gasket if bad replace.

7 refill with new coolent, remember to fill all the way.
