Possible the recommended pressure is printed somewhere on the tires themselves but will be the maximum.
The recommended tyre pressures are Front 25 psi and Rear 30 psi. The tyre pressure must not exceed 50 psi (psi = pounds per square inch).
Your best answer will be found on the tyre the manufacturer will state what the pressure should be but a general guide for an unloaded car (IE no luggage etc) with normal day to day driving conditions would be front; 2.1 bar, about 30-31 psi rear; 1.8 bar, about 26 psi
Look for the PSI number on the tire. Side wall will give a bunch of numbers-size of tire. But, it also says 35 PSI or 40 PSI or whatever. That is the number your needing.
This sound like tyre deformation, usually attributed to poor tyre quality or degradation of tyre structure, You should change them as soon as possible as they could become dangerous
Tyre Size Front Tyres Rear Tyres 185/65R15 H 87 2.0 BAR / 29 PSI 2.2 BAR / 32 PSI 205/55R15 V 88 2.2 BAR / 32 PSI 2.4 BAR / 35 PSI 175/70R14 H 84 2.0 BAR / 29 PSI 2.0 BAR / 29 PSI
there is a sticker on the chain guard of my 92 cb250 nighthawk. it specifies "cold tyre pressures", front and rear, both with and without passenger. all pressures are specified as 29 psi. this is a factory made sticker.
turn the gage around or somethin. It should be on their if not go get a new guage. And if you do not know what the psi should be at look on the tire. And dont put the psi to the max. if it says 35psi put like 32psi just leave a few pounds off the max psi
As always, correct pressure depends on the tyre fitted but if it is running with the standard tyres that it had fitted from new then:
Single rider: Front is 1.75 bar (25 PSI) Rear 2.0 (29 PSI)
Fully loaded (Panniers and or pillion passenger) Front 2.0 bar (29 PSI) Rear 2.25 bar (32 PSI)
These settings from the book for a 2006 model, though I imagine that they apply to all with very little if any variation
thanks mate, will go check. Trace
