When i press the start button there is nothing at all no clicks or anything do i have to reset the computer its a 1997 yamaha gp 760
You do not have to reset the computer, but you do have to enter in your security code for the padloc security system. If you have forgotten your code or never entered one before, you will need to do that now. It is an easy fix. First, open the front hatch and find the blue connector. It will have only one wire in it. Disconnect that connector. Now, on your meter panel, hit and hold the mode button till the word CODE appears on the right gauge. At that time, hit any combination of any 4 letters from the buttons down the right. They can be all the same or all different, you just have to enter 4 letters. Now plug the blue connector back in, put the trunk back, and hit the start button. If it does not crank, hit and hold the mode button again and re-enter the code you just stored. After you enter the correct code, it will now say START and you are good to go.

The first thing I would check is the battery. Is it still connected? Do you get lights or instruments when you turn the key on? What is the battery voltage as you try to start the waverunner? If it drops below 10v your battery is bad and needs to be replaced.
