I have an 06 road king that i have problems with the break light staying on all the time. I replaced the front break switch and still have the same problem. i recently put a kuryaken panacea tail light system on and dont think this is the problem. I have changed the main control three times with all having the same problem. I also have no rear turn signals the front work fine??
SOURCE: brake light stays on
hand break switch was broken (inside the wire housing) not allowing the hand break lever to deactive, therefore causing the brake system to stay on.

it be a bad ground connection to the bikes frame or a bad ignition switch

well i would try the switch and see and if that doesnt work then check the wiring for a loose connection or ground or maybe it could be as ez as checking the light bulb it might be loose in the socket
SOURCE: My signal lights, hazard lights, and tail light aren't working.
Check the rear bulbs. If they are working (brakes+lights) check the wires. For the turn signals, override the flasher relay. If they are coming on then you need to replace the relay. If not then check the left hand side clip on switch.
SOURCE: Rear brake light will not come on when rear brake is applied
If your brake lights are not coming when pressing the foot brake this means that there is something wrong with the switch..Have a closer look near the brake lever and you will see a spring attached to it which in turn is connected to the brake switch..Try to pull it down and if you see your brake lights working then you only need to adjust the spring setting..Else try to make a manual close connection and if it goes on then replace the switch..
