My running light doesn't work but my brake lights

Being that the '93 model did not come with "running lights', not only will you have to run wires for the "running lights", you'll also have to change the light themselves. You will need a light with a dual element socket instead of a single element socket. Connect the "running lights' wiring up with any of your dash lights wiring.

Ok for the brake light, the pressure switch for the rear brake may be bad. Find the rear brake master cylinder and follow the metal brake line that comes out of it going to the rear of the bike. You'll find a tee fitting in the line with the pressure switch screwed into it. Check to make sure the wires are plugged onto the spade connectors. If they are, the switch is probably bad and needs to be replaced. Simply screw the old one out and screw the new one in. Do not depresses the rear brake pedel while the switch is out of the line.

As for the tail light, if the bulb is good, you have a wiring problem and need to find where the wires is broken.

Your Wide Glide has two brake light switches. One is in the right handlebar switch housing and operated by a tang on the front brake lever. If it's not working you probably have a bad switch up there as well. The rear brake switch is underneath the bike. Find the metal line coming out of the rear brake master cylinder. Follow this line back towards the rear brake. You should find a "tee" fitting with a small switch screwed into it. It'll have two wire plugs with about four wires on it unless they've changed something. You'll know it when you see it. Replace this switch first. Since the front brake light works off this switch as well, it may fix the front brake light switch as well. If not, you'll have to take the right handlebar switch housing apart to get to the front switch.

Check the bulb, If its a dual filiment than it would make sense both would be out. Otherwise im at a loss to. usually if that happens ive seen the fuse blow, but, usually your headlight would be out too.
