Does a 2004 Chevrolet venture LS have a fuel cut off switch and if so where would it be located...I started and drove my van up the road and back shut it off and now it wonā€™t start and I canā€™t hear the...

Make sure battery has a full charge. Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?
Chevy doesn't have a fuel cut-off switch. As far as ford--chevy--Chrysler, ford is the only one I know of that has a fuel cut-off switch.

2005 Ford Escape XLT sputtering. Replaced spark plugs as codes said. The check engine light does NOT come back on. No codes to read. I've done some research and there seem to be a few common answers....

Replaced spark plugs as codes said. ???? What code ? No code tells you to replace anything with testing . Hooking up a scan tool checking checking engine sensor data pid's . If you don't know this your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qaulified repair shop . You could have a bad sensor , Mass air flow , a bad coolant temp sensor . Fuel system problem , fuel pressure an flow testing should be done . What are the O2 sensors doing ? are they switching from 0.2 to 0.9 millivolts ? What the fuel trims at ? Is the computer adding or subtracting fuel ?

047 Engine Hard to Start or No Start Scan Data for Ignition
048 Engine Hard to Start or No Start Scan Data for Starting Problems
There is a lot involved in diagnosing these computer systems , and guessing doesn't fix vehicle running problems .

My 1999 ford expidition want start

Could be many things. First i would listen for the fuel pump to kick on whenever you turn the key on(without starting). Then if you don't hear it kicking on, check all your fuses. Especially the fuel pump fuse. If none of your fuses are bad, then your fuel pump is shot and you need to replace it. After that, if it still wont start, Check to see if your getting spark to your spark plugs. You can do this by taking the sprk plug out, and keeping it hooked to the wire and have someone try to crank the motor. As they are turning the motor over, see if you see the spark plug sparking. If not, then its your coil packs, or your vehicle is off time. ALSO, try changing the crank sensor. That could be why its not starting as well. Hope this helps, James Booth. Please rate this. :) And good luck with your experiance in trying to crank your vehicle. Have a good day.

Brand new Honda Generator 2000i will not start. uhhg

Hi and welcome to FixYa I am Kelly.

Things that must be verified.

1. Fuel selector: ON
2. Start run sw: ON
3. Oil Level : Full
4. Choke selector FULL ON for no more than 2 pulls initially The half choke then off
5. Spark at the Spark Plug YES? NO?
a. No spark suspect low oil level sensor is grounding the ignition either due to low oil level or it just is not working properly.

After doing all of the above...

Spark Plug WET or DRY? Dry and still won't start check fuel supply. If you use the choke with the start run switch in the off position the spark plug should get WET. Spark plug does not get wet... with choke on and ignition off. Fuel supply problem.

At this point I suspect either the Oil Level is incorrect or... that the FUEL SELECTOR is OFF.

If you need more help just respond here and we can press on.

Thanks for choosing FixYa

2004 Malibu Classic 2.2L died and won't start

You need 3 basic principles for your vehicle to start fuel/air, timing and spark. You stated it seems like there is no ignition at all. First, I would pull the easiest spark plug attach the plug wire and set it on the manifold and have someone crank your vehicle with you watching the plug to check for a spark you should have a white/blue spark which denotes a high voltage. Next i'd check for fuel pressure, if you have both i would get a obd (on board diagnostic)scanner and check for trouble codes with koeo (key on engine off) if that doesn't produce any codes check your fuses and most importantly if your oil level on the dipstick was dry its going somewhere whether its a leaking gasket a crack in the engine or blow by figure out where
