SOURCE: how to change my oil on a kawasaki ninja 750

Get the bike so it is setting upright.
There a plug on the under side of the motor. Remove the plug and have a catch pan to catch the old oil. The filter will need to be changed also. Do this before you put new oil in. Put the plug back in and open the fill plug on the side of the engine and fill with new motorcycle oil. DO NOT USE OIL FOR CARS!! Watch that you do not over fill it.

I have a 1995 ZX-6R. Where does the oil go and

Use 10W40 semi synthetic oil, filler is on the right hand side engine case. Check level in the sight glass below the filler cap with bike stood upright.

I have 2001 kawasaki ninja ex250r. when I purchase the bike it had 47,000 miles now it has 57,000 miles...how often do I change the oil & oil filter?

Twice a year or every 4000 miles.

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50.

Oil Light Won't shut off

Underneath the oil pan there is an oil sensor which works the same as your fuel gauge, with a floater. This must be probably stuck all the way down from the oil change.
