Stutterring when riding

We are in South Africa, and I own a Kawasaki zzr1100 d jear 1994 model. When standing still and idling you get clean revs up until 10000rpm. When you take the bike for a drive it starts jerking and stuttering. It is more fluent in first gear, but when you go to second gear and up the problem starts getting worse and it stutters more. We started with cleaning the fuel system, then redone the entire head (valves etc.).We replaced the petrol pump. We balanced the carburetors. We haven't done any electrical checks, as we do not own a workshop manual or an electrical guide. Please can you advise us on timing marks and settings or provide us with a solution.

The carbs have been balanced but not synchronized? Each of the four carb slides needs to begin to open at the exact same time. Being out of sync can cause your problem. The balance and sync on a four cylinder bike is best done in the shop. If you try it yourself have a fire extinguisher handy. < < I am serious here.

Since the carbs have been cleaned and 'adjusted', I will take the liberty to note the air screw and the idle screw factory settings and how to set them. On each carb, GENTLY turn both screws inward until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each screw outward one and one half turns. Now you are back to the stock settings.

If your bike has CDI ignition, the timing is preset and is not adjustable.

Engine runs with choke on,starts to miss fire at 4000rpm when coming off choke and dies with no choke at all, stutters and miss fires with throttle open but will not tick over at all

Sounds like this bike has been standing for a good while & the carbs need cleaning & resetting (or there is water in fuel in carbs)

Oil Light comes on when engine is warm on my ZZR1100 D1, have alterd the revs but then revs too high

Change your oil pressure sender switch. It should fix the problem. If it does not you will need to replace the oil pump.

Zzr1100 when riding at very low speed steering is twitchy.

you need to check your tyre and it may also require balancing as it is a big bike. The bearing do not normally cause this but it is a good and safe thing to check it.

Nearside carb problem on kawasaki zzr1100

Clean your carbs! Your floats might be sticking open a bit. Plus, all Kawasakis have a simple spring-actuated check valve in the fuel valve. This way, you can disconnect the fuel line without having to block the flow. Fuel could be leaking through the check valve. Your problem most liklely identifies dirty gasoline. Clean out your tank, your carbs, and change your fuel filter.

Zzr 1100 c model revs fine stationary and starts ok but when riding will not go faster than 50mph and stutters back and forth all the time

The spec sheet doesn't say if your model has fuel injection or carbs. Assuming carbs, disassemble and clean them. You will want the shop to balance and sync the carbs as well. This should get you back on the road in style.
