If my bandit 400 piston is top dead centre how should the markings look on both cams

don t know alot about bandit 400 but when crank is set to (TDC) top dead center both cams should be set to TDC uses level to align. some cams. won t stay at TDC for install of belt, get creative. use a C clamp to hold cam at TDC for install. be sure to put belt inside C clamp for install. Always rotate engine one full cycle by hand and recheck alignment, if it stop at any time there is something not right. good luck

How to remove timing chain suzuki gsf 400 bandit 1993

unless you have the correct tools this is something you probably wouldn't want to get involved in as you would need a camchain splitter/riveter if you drop the old pin down the can tunnel your in a world of hurt and the only way to remove the old chain in one piece is via a complete engine rebuild also while the cams are coming out you'd want to do the valve clearances at the same time, on some models it's tappet adjustment and some it's shims which requires you having a selection of different sized shims.
My advice is give it to someone who already has the equipment and pay them it'll cost you a lot less in the end.

Need timing marks for 400 bandit pleas

Go to the site below and download a free PDF service manual. I think yours is 26th in the Suzuki section listings. A couple other Bandit listings are also in the list. http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

Gsf 400 bandit clutch needs replacing how do i do it?

Real easy, just drain oil, take off side case and remove the bolts.
Take it off as an assembly.
Make sure clutch plates and friction plates are positioned correctly.

Are you sure you need to replace the clutch?
I assume it merely needs a minor adjustment.
