Is there fuel in the tank?

SOURCE: Fuel tap

by fuel tap i take it you mean to select between the reserve tank, and to switch the fuel off... on from 'new shape' models (2006 onwards) there is no switch: it has a vaccum system which sucks any unused fuel back into the tank..

when the fuel light comes on the 'reserve tank' is in use, so go fill up with some juice!

SOURCE: 2006 Aprilia RS125 doesnt start

Hi .... Try switching the petrol off just prior to stopping the engine and start up again with the petrol OFF. There's enough petrol in the carb to start the bike. A good battery should show over 12 volts. Take the plugs out and give them a good clean or replace them. Is there a petrul pump fitted ? A two stroke needs to be ridden quite hard to maintain efficeincy, higher revs etc ........ let us know how you get on ?

SOURCE: aprilia habana cutting out and starting problems

Did you clean the pilot & main jets in the carb & set the float height to standard? There is also an over flow in the carb which should stop fuel flooding into the air filter - did you check?
Make sure there are no splits in the fuel pipes & the smaller vacuum pipe that goes from the side of the auto fuel tap, also check pipes connect well
By your description it sounds like the carb is filling very slowly, 1 bowlful would get you around 2 miles & then plug would be dry when trying to start it, leaving it overnight the carb would fill up & flood air filter due to a leaky fuel tap

Ride safe

Aprilia rs 125 won't start!!

right you done quite a bit, so whats left, fuel seems ok .. so ht lead ht cap, spark plugs dont always come with right gap, any leaks with airflow either side of carb, remember the filter often acts as a restrictor too. try the putting a small amount of fuel in cyclinder after cleaning plug, should atleast get a backfire, is choke setup ok, carb mix if not factory sealed is generally 1 and 3/4 turns out from tight,

I jumped car off it crunk on its own fora day, then batt went dead again, this time it won't jump off. It wants to crank but won't turn over.

not sure what you said but.
seems the battery is discharging,? 12.6v is fully charged,
own a voltmeter?
try a good loaned battery , does it start the car,?
i think you meant?
i can jumper cable start my car at any time. (off another running car)
but after running my car, the battery discharges and it will not crank at all. right?
this means ,the charging system on your car is bad.
if the starter cranks great, then the engine is flooded or is in great need of a tune up (sparkplugs etc)
if flooded try the super secret in the op guide, crank with throttle wide open , this magic trick cuts all fuel injection allowing the flooding
to purge away, and eventual starting.
my guess 2 is the car wont start, so you crank the battery flat
you jumper start it and it runs. (luck)
then day 2, same deal cranks ok but wont start.. ever tune up the engine?

1996 holden vs v6 acclaim, my car won't start

This is an indication that the fuel system is losing prime. It might be because the injectors are not sealing when the engine is off and the gasoline is syphoning back to the tank.

My Olympus Stylus 7030 won't focus and shuts off when I try to zoom.

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Whenever i need to use the lights on my rs for more than a half an hour it drains the battery and the the next time i try to start it the batterys too flat, please help

hi , your batterie is not charging, there are two possible causes:
1- batterie does not accept charge
2 - your charging sistem is not working properly
check if wille acelerating the lights seem to increase it's power, if so that means your generator is ok, so the problem will be the batterie
good luck

Lenovo y550 laptop, battery shows fully charged, everytime i un-plug the charger, system shuts down, and won't start back up until i plug it into an outlet

Quite simply, the battery is dead. What is happening, is that the battery is charging, but the cells cannot retain the charge and it drains straight away. You need a new battery

Charging problem

stopped for lunch back on bike it started fine. About 20km later I heard the engine revs on my speakers running autocom of the bike the speedometer started going mad jumping from 30km/h to 220km/m, all over the place. The last time this happened was in France and the bike did not start again, battery was flat, bike shipped back to Ireland. Back in Ireland the dealer kept it for few days, battery was fine just needed to be charged, could find no other problem with the bike. While this time I rode straight to the dealer, about 20km away. When I stopped the bike was dead, no power. They did a test and said the regulator is faulty. Was waiting for new one from Aprilia but it did not arrive today so they took one from a new bike. The bike is charging when reved but does not want to charge at idle so they need to go fishing for the fault. It now also seem my clocks are broken as a result of al of this. ,Check to make sure that all of the chassis grounds are free of corrosion and properly connected. I have never had an issue with charging at temperatures ranging from below zero into the mid/high thirties (Celcius). Even at low speed you will be turning 3000-4000 RPM which should have the charging voltage between 14-14.5 V. Put a multi meter on it and see what voltages you are getting at different RPM's,,,
