My bajaj platina having starting problem but not regularly. It starts sometimes smoothly & doesnt give any problem. But sometimes it gives problem. yesterday after so many attemts about 15 min I couldnt start my bike.Sometimes runs smoothly for 5-6 kms & then starts giving jerks. Pl give solutions. i have replaced spark plug,CDI & pick up coil. Also done regular servicing. But still problem continues.

Start at you battery and work back towards your ignition inspecting each and every harness connector...disconnect, clean with electric contact cleaner, apply a small amount of dielectric grease and reconnect, even the connectors under the seat. Take your time and it will be worth the effort. Check all the grounds too.

No the Platina engine was not designed to have an electric start so it would require extensive modification to make one work. ,,

timing cud be messed up--chec flywheel marks for top dead cnter--also float level or jets of carb need service--test for rite compression
