3 red lights on the Xbox 360 is the most common error and it means "General Hardware failure. To fix this you need to stop the amount of heat that the GPU and the CPU is taking.
To do this you can use the recommended guide that has been on the market for 3 years or you can send it in.
e74 or rrod error means that there is an hardware issue.
What you need to do is a very simple and cheap repair.
look on ebay for x clamp repair kits, these are just a few bucks and most sellers include a good guide in how to do the mod/fix.
what causes the rrod or e74 error is the X shape clamp on the underside or the mother board bending and mis-shaping causing the ball soldering on the gpu/cpu slightly melting and forming hairline cracks in the solder.
The x-clamp kit will apply more pressure to the gpu/cpu and a little trick of disconnecting the fans and turning on the xbox and allowing it to overheat will re melt the solder ball joints to fill the hairline cracks.
Depending on which chip is the issue you may also need a 2000 watt heat gun instead of using the over heating method (the gpu chip).
Replacing the heat pads on the heat sink with thermal paste which comes with the kit will keep the gpu/cpu cooler and you wont have this issue again.
Please make sure you buy the kit which comes with heat treated nylon washers as the steel spring washes fail!.
The repair takes around 1-2 hours
I hope this helps in fixing you xbox

Seem almost all problem yours included boil-down
to the G.P.U and C.P.U de-soldering it self from mother
board , I almost don't ask what's wrong with them when i take them in
for repair . After I do a corect X clamp mod . ALL PROBLEMS GONE!
its just that simple.
It's not your fans that's causing the problem. It's the XBOX itself. The Xboxes generally overheat and this has been a big problem for Microsoft. Alot of companies are actually reflowing these system, reheating the solder under the chips allowing them to connect back down to the points on the board.
You will need your system reflowed. Contact a repair shop.
Only way would be to open up the xbox 360, get the heatsinks off of the board and use a heatgun and reheat the two chips that are underneath the heatsinks that you take off.
Problem with the 360's is that they use crappy solder to put the video chips on the board and the solder underneath breaks apart after a while cause of the heat that is generated by the machine. Reheating the two video chips allows the solder to reflow properly and then you can turn on the machine and get video again.
You have to take it apart, the three red rings are a sloder problem between the mother board and the processor, the "x-clamps" mnicrosoft uses to attach the cpu to the mother board are a joke, they dont provide enough clamping force. try this site, it will explain everything as i had to fdind out for my self. http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-the-Red-Ring-of-Deathwithout-towels/
simple need to take your 360 apart right down to nothing! tips on this found on websites all over.your then see 2 chips on the board inside (covered by to big metal heat sinks) they need to be reheated with an air gun about 450 'c.this should solve your problem! sorry couldnt be more detailed! if u dont know wat your doin should really send to a repair company.(can recomend)
