1997 yamaha gp1200 does not start. the instrument cluster or the panel does not work. i have to play with cutoff switch and then it cranks until i stop. i try cranking again and nothing happens.
Hi there it sounds like the switch gear need pulling apart and the copper contacts cleaned as it sounds like the kill switch is closed up and the starter button contacts need cleaning as well also check to see if the stater soliniod might need a cleanup where the wires go,also check your fuses to see if there contacting alright if you ride in all weather or the bike sits outside it can have these problems as mouisture gets into everything. hope this helps cheers pete
